Next, you should visit the sponsor's site. READ EVERYTHING ON THE SITE. Navigate to every available page. Take note of how the site is organized. Before you sign up be sure to read the Terms of Service (TOS). These are extremely important. Each sponsor has their own TOS. Some list their guidelines under a FAQs page. Remember READ EVERYTHING! You are committing yourself to a contract when you sign up. Some things you should check for: What is their spamming policy? What countries can a webmaster be from? What type of traffic or content is acceptable? They do not accept traffic from child porn or beastiality sites! Do they have free content or free hosting? What kind of sites do they promote? Look at their tours. Study them for marketing ideas. If there is something you don't understand, don't assume... ask them!!
