Hi Folks, we bring you here tons of tutorials writen by great webmasters and collected them over at Netpond.com
 Paysite Spreadsheet by Mark Tiarra

Now that I've sold LUMYR (
http://www.netpond.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33073), Iwanted to share the spreadsheet I've used over the years with many consulting clients. This is a roadmap for running a paysite program and has been a valuable tool for many people in making projections, decisions on ad buys, etc... As with anything, it was always a work in progress with clients finding ways to improve upon it and I'm sure you guys will have ideas of your own. In any case it's a great tool. Here are some notes:

You'll need a current version Microsoft Excel to view it.

I posted the interactive version so you can play with the numbers.

This set of projections is based on a mid-level startup, putting $75,000 in to buy exclusive content to start, a webmaster program (like NATS), your own server with plenty of bandwidth, etc... You can change these numbers to fit much smaller projects of course but I had to pick one scenario so I went with a midrange one.

This spreadsheet also assumes you are offering trials only on exit (we found that to be the best option in the last year or so) and it assumes 15% growth per month as you add sites and traffic with new webmasters signing up. It also assumes a three month buildup period where the numbers are 75% lower.

The projections (whether it be on a smaller or larger scale) on this sheet have been tested time and time again and have turned out very accurately. Of course there have always been a couple exceptions to the rule worse or better, but you can always plug in your actual numbers and project out from there.
